WEST Current Weather

1. FRAMES
* Any non racing fun-kart or production frame allowed.
* Must be made of steel. No aluminum or exotic material.
* Frames may not be manufactured for racing.
* Minimum weight 10 yrs and under...300 lbs uncluding driver and gear.

2. BODY
* Bodies are optional.
* May resemble any production or race type vehicle.
* Fiberglass, aluminum, or steel bodies.

3. SUSPENSION
* Front and rear suspension is allowed.
* Only one shock/spring per wheel.
* No racing suspension parts allowed.

4. BUMPERS & NERF BARS
* Front and rear bumpers required of Max 1" OD tubing. Not to exceed outside tread width of tire.
* Nerfbars are optional. Max 1" OD.
* Bumpers or Nerbars must have rounded or capped ends. No sharp edges.

5. ROLL CAGE
* Minimum 3 inch head clearance
* Cage must be constructed of steel no smaller than 3/4" OD.
* Roll cage must be securely welded or bolted to kart frame.

6. WHEELS
* No after market racing wheels allowed.
* No custom built wheels allowed.
* No aluminum hubs.
* Max 6 1/2" wheels.
* Steel wheels or cast aluminum fun kart wheels only.
* No spacers allowed.

7. TIRES
* No after market racing tires allowed i.e. Burris, Dunlop, or Brigstone.
* Any size tire allowed.
* No grooving.
* Turf type tires only.

8. BRAKES
* Must have minimum one-wheel brake on drive side.
* Brakes must be capable of stopping kart within a safe distance.
* No scrubber brakes allowed.

9. DRIVETRAIN
* Single pull only.
* Chain guard required.
* Left rear drive only.
* Right side wheel must have bearings.
* Centrifugal clutch or belt drive converters only.
* No oil or disk type clutches allowed.
* No adjustable clutches allowed.
* No clutch modifications.
* Engine must be located behind drivers compartment.

10. ENGINE
* Stock 5 HP - 6 HP 4 cycle engines only.
* No modifications of any kind.
* No motorsports engines allowed.
* No after market racing parts allowed.
* Stock DIA valves and springs. OEM configuration only.
* Engines must have fully functional choke if OEM is equipped.
* May disconnect governors.
* Header type exhaust pipe with flanged end may be used.
* No fuel pump allowed.
* Stock flywheel and ignition system required.
* No engine port modifications allowed.
* Stock connecting rod ( No modifications allowed)
* Stock cam shaft (No modifications allowed)
* Stock crankshaft (No balancing, No knife edging allowed)

11. FUEL
* Pump gasoline only. No alcohol.
* No fuel additives allowed.
